Is there a place for Energy from Waste in the Circular Economy? – Onine Event

November 23, 2022 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

Recovering energy from waste is a difficult area in Australia. The industry is in its infancy with two plants under construction in Perth, and four at various stages of planning in Victoria. In NSW, Government policies make project development a challenging exercise. As the circular economy gains momentum, many people ask why would energy recovery be necessary, indeed wouldn’t it in fact encourage the generation of waste? Speakers in this session will look at how energy from waste interacts with a circular economy, and explore some of the innovations in the field.

Dr. Ron Wainberg, Technical Director, MRA Consulting Group
