Paradox and pathways to a net zero – Hybrid Session
November 23, 2022 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm
Presented by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia
Achieving a net-zero global economy by 2050 is technically and economically feasible with existing and emerging technologies which include several pillars such as energy efficiency, renewable energy, and CCUS. Nevertheless, it requires drastic shifts in behavior, massive policy interventions and major transformational changes to realize the net zero emission, such as in carbon pricing, cleaner energy, green economy, transition finance and sustainable lifestyle.
