How to be a responsible university – Online Session
November 23, 2022 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Presented by Responsible Cafes
Responsible Cafes is Australia’s most innovative, popular, and fastest-growing program actively engaging cafes, councils, universities and the community to improve sustainability from the ground up (litter-rly!). We are representing and supporting a community of 5000 cafes nationwide improving their environmental impact and keep looking at ways to tackle waste and drive more impact in the hospitality industry.
The first part of the conference will present the program’s impact and what role Responsible Universities could play in fighting the war on waste featuring a case study with the University of Adelaide. The presentation will shift to a panel discussion moderated by Responsible Cafes with Christine McCallum from The University of Queensland and Nicole Marchhart from Macquarie University on organic waste diversion initiatives and how to work collectively towards being a zero-waste university by 2030.
(This session will include a 20-minute presentation, followed by a 30-minute panel followed by Q&A)
Speakers
Marion Vigot, General Manager of Responsible Cafes
Manon Olaya, Partnership Coordinator for Responsible Cafes
