Net Zero and Circular Economy in Precincts – a deep dive on transition challenges – Hybrid Session
November 22, 2022 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am
Special Activation Precincts are unique to regional NSW and bring together planning, enabling infrastructure and investment to drive economic uplift and job creation. In addition to driving economic prosperity, the NSW Government is also committed to ensuring precincts align with the State’s ambitious net zero commitments and become circular economy hubs.
This panel explores the opportunities and challenges associated with the transition of precincts to net zero and the establishment of circular economies. It will include the perspectives of precincts, business and research. The discussion will consider practical, technical and organisational challenges to transition. The session aims to stimulate discussions that can continue after the conference on opportunities for collaboration on pilot projects, transition pathways and innovation opportunities in precincts.
Industry, academia and practitioners are strongly encouraged to attend.
