Energy storage – the quiet half of the renewable energy revolution – In person session

November 21, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

The success of the future energy system around the world will rely on large amounts of energy storage capacity. This will enable 100% renewable power systems to provide reliable and affordable energy.

Cameron O’Reilly, Associate Director Marsden Jacob Associates, was a key adviser inside government when the NSW Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap was passed by parliament. Cameron is a Fulbright Professional Scholar and will discuss his work on energy transition and how short duration and long duration storage will be required in the coming decades and reflect on emerging technology.

Glenn Platt, from Emergent Group, will bring his vast executive experience to critically review the infrastructure, logistic and technical challenges we are facing to deliver energy storage projects. Glenn’s review will have implications through the value chain.
